Author, Marc Lacrimosa

Marc was born in Boston. He has spent 12 years in the Army, toured numerous countries and now resides in North East Georgia. After eight years working with the Georgia Civil Air Patrol leading a local Squadron in his community of 40 members cadets and adults, he holds the rank of a non-paid Captain in the Civil Air Patrol sponsored by the Air force.

In 2003 he went into a career of law enforcement, working for Clarke County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia, working in the jail then court house.

He went to work at the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office in 2006 and became a road deputy working nights. In August 2009 became a School Resource Officer in Barrow County Georgia. It was here that he came up with the idea for this book. In January 2010 he assisted Bethlehem Elementary Bethlehem Elementary in making a video about stopping bullying. Illustrator, Danielle Festa

Boston native artist, designer and book illustrator, Danielle Festa has enjoyed working with Marc to help bring awareness to children about the consequences of bullying. She was inspired by the way it could be related back to one of the first lessons kids learn. With new social media outlets, there are a lot of ways children can get caught up in bullying, they need to learn early to stop their actions. What better way to teach this lesson, than with book illustrations and concepts they can understand all while spending some quality reading with their parents!
